The first 4 days of this tour will take us to the Val d’Orcia where we will ride the White Roads or Strade Bianche famous for the World Tour race Strade Bianche and L’Eroica. We will pedal near or through the famous hill towns of Montalcino, Pienza and San Quirco d’Orcia.

Our rides through the forests and rolling grasslands of this magical area, a UNESCO World Heritage site, will be an experience to be remembered. The challenge of riding on these gravel roads will be complimented with delicious meals and fine wines. The local cuisine will be paired with Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Brunello di Montalcino wines.

Our accommodations for the first 4 days will be at La Posta Hotel in the charming town of Bagno Vignoni in the beautiful Val d’Orcia located to the south of Siena. Posta Marcucci has its roots in the 19th century, when there was an inn with a grocery store and postal service for the town of Bagno Vignoni. In the mid-1950s it was transformed into a hotel. With thermal springs on the property you can soothe your tired body after we conclude our rides.

On day five we will visit the medieval city of Siena and after lunch will go to our hotel Castello La Leccia located just outside of Castellina in Chianti. This small castle will embrace you with unassuming charm and elegance. The wines produced on the property are excellent and the cuisine as well.

Our rides will take us along the gravel roads of the Chianti region with vineyards of the Sangiovese grapes that are used to make the Chianti Classico and Chianti riserva wines. These beautiful roads are also used in the Strade Bianche race and L’Eroica dotted by medieval castles in a stunning countryside.
